Stephen Curry hopes to end his NBA career like he started it, with the Golden State Warriors: ‘I don’t plan on switching jerseys anytime soon’

While it remains uncertain whether the 32-year-old NBA star will ink a new contract extension with the Warriors this year, Curry is steadfast in his commitment to remain in San Francisco.

“I want to play here for the rest of my career. That is a priority,” he stated during a recent radio interview on 95.7 The Game.

Having previously signed a five-year extension worth $201 million in 2017 and being eligible for a three-year extension starting in 2022, Curry emphasized that he does not feel “any pressure either way.”

“We’ll see what happens in 13 days. Either way it goes, I don’t plan on switching jerseys anytime soon,” he concluded. Regarding his future in the game, Stephen Curry has expressed his desire to emulate his father’s career span of 16 seasons. “That has always been the aspiration,” Curry informed reporters earlier this week, as reported by the Associated Press.

While acknowledging the unpredictability of the future, Curry reiterated his intention to continue playing as long as he can maintain his desired level of performance. “I’ve always stated that I want to continue playing as long as I can compete at the level I aspire to and hopefully have the opportunity to conclude my career on my own terms,” stated Curry, who is entering his 12th NBA season. “Ideally, that would mean playing into my late 30s or even reaching 40.”
