Is Steph Curry Doing Enough? “High-Level” NBA Figures Question His Leadership After Green’s Latest Outburst

Golden State Warriors fans are no strangers to the fiery antics of Draymond Green. However, Green’s recent ejection during their win against the Miami Heat has some NBA executives questioning teammate Steph Curry’s leadership, according to reports.

This isn’t the first time Green’s on-court behavior has raised eyebrows. This season alone, he has been ejected a career-high four times. While Green’s passion and intensity are undeniable assets on the court, his tendency to lose his cool can be costly, especially during crucial moments in the game.

These outbursts have reportedly led some NBA executives to question the leadership of his co-captain, Steph Curry. Curry, widely recognized as one of the greatest shooters of all time, is known for his calm demeanor and on-court composure. However, questions are swirling about whether Curry is doing enough to keep Green in check, particularly when emotions run high.

This situation presents a complex challenge for the Warriors. Green’s talent and defensive prowess are undeniable. He’s a vital piece of the Warriors’ championship puzzle, having played a key role in their past title runs. However, his undisciplined outbursts can disrupt the team’s rhythm and create unnecessary tension.

Curry, on the other hand, is the undisputed heart and soul of the Warriors. His leadership on the court is more subtle, relying on his exceptional play and infectious positivity to inspire his teammates. But can his quieter leadership style effectively manage Green’s fiery personality?

The Warriors are at a crossroads. They need to find a way to harness Green’s talent while minimizing the negative impact of his emotional outbursts. Curry’s leadership will be crucial in this endeavor. Can he find a way to motivate and guide Green without stifling his passion?

Only time will tell if the Warriors can navigate these challenges and emerge as a true championship contender once again. The dynamic between Curry and Green, once a source of their success, could now be a factor that determines their future.

Following the sequence, just four minutes into the game, an emotional Curry, 36, could be seen clapping his hands in frustration and even appearing to tear up in response.

During Thursday’s episode of First Take on ESPN, former NBA star turned analyst Jay Williams claimed that he’s heard that some within the league have since begun to question Curry’s leadership, as Green’s behavioral issues continue.

“I’m getting texts from people that I really value their decisions. High-level people,” he said.

“And what these texts are reading is, ‘Well, how about the leadership of Stephen Curry?’ That’s where these conversations are going.”

Williams claimed Curry was being called out “for him not controlling Draymond.”

Later, he even suggested, “Draymond Green is diminishing the ultimate legacy of how people are looking at the leadership of Stephen Curry.

“That’s what’s happening right now.”

Williams looked to make it clear that he did not agree with the Curry critics.
