Steph and Ayesha Curry recently got coordinating tattoos as a tribute to their children. The couple revealed their new ink on Instagram on Tuesday. Ayesha, who is 30 years old, shared the significance of the geometric animal designs in her caption, explaining to her 6.8 million followers that each design holds a deeper meaning and significance for them.
The tattoos depicted a wolf, a butterfly, and a unicorn. Ayesha chose to have her tattoo on her forearm, while Steph opted for his calf. Beginning her caption with a playful tone, Ayesha, a cookbook author and mother of three, wrote, “He loves matching my style.”
Then she explained: ‘(…These are our babies signs we have for them) . Each has a deeper meaning and representation to us.’
Steph and Ayesha are parents to daughters Riley, seven, and Ryan, four, as well as son Canon, one.
‘Canon will always be our young wolf. Ryan our butterfly (this one makes me cry with joy just thinking about it) and Riley our horse (free spirited , which we turned into a unicorn because she’s our magical first born).’
Then she sent thanks to the artist, closing out her caption by saying: ‘Thank you again to @winterstone !!!’ Steph also shared the same image but he kept his caption minimal, adding just wolf, butterfly and unicorn emojis. The next day Ayesha dedicated a post to her love, sharing a photo of the two on the beach along with the message: ‘I just love doing life with you my baby.
‘Thank you for always standing by my side and holding me up. You’ve been working so hard trying to get your hand better after TWO surgeries in a month and still somehow manage to be the most amazing man, husband , father, friend. YOU SPECIAL! : my mama (I know everyone always wonders LOL!)’
The pair have been married since 2011, after meeting when they were teenagers
