At nine years old, the extent of my culinary skills was limited to making scrambled eggs. However, for nine-year-old Riley Curry, the daughter of NBA star Stephen Curry and his wife Ayesha, cooking dinner for her family is already within her capabilities. We’re truly impressed by her culinary talents.

Just recently, Ayesha shared a video on her Instagram Stories, showcasing her eldest child donning a chef’s hat and taking charge of dinner preparation. The recipe she tackled was quite complex, demonstrating her impressive cooking abilities at such a young age.

“I’m making a chicken piccata with mashed potatoes and honey roasted carrots,” she said confidently while making her way around the kitchen.

Riley floured and fried the chicken all by herself (she also threw some halibut in the oil) while Ayesha filmed. And when mama told her things were “looking good,” she replied, “I learned from the best!” The young foodie smiled as she said “I’m so happy” with her finished spread., pouring sparkling wine in fancy glasses for everyone.

It’s not particularly surprising that Riley would already possess culinary skills at her young age. After all, her mother Ayesha is a cookbook author and the mastermind behind multiple locations of the restaurant International Smoke across the country. Ayesha has also launched a cooking line and is renowned for the delicious meals she prepares for her family.

Cooking together has been a longstanding tradition in the Curry household, with the family bonding over culinary creations for years. In a 2019 interview with Parade, Ayesha emphasized the importance of cooking together as a family, regardless of their composition, as it fosters strong familial bonds and relationships. Clearly, this tradition has made a significant impact on Riley, and we eagerly anticipate seeing what culinary delights the eldest Curry child will whip up next!
