Despite the absence of Curry and Green, the Warriors still defeated the Utah Jazz with a score of 123-116, with Klay Thompson shining brightly throughout the night

Steve Kerr remains confident that his team has the potential to make a significant impact in the postseason, despite facing a tough challenge right from the start.

Klay Thompson led the way with 25 points, including six 3-pointers, while Andrew Wiggins contributed 19 points as the Golden State Warriors secured a 123-116 victory over the Utah Jazz in their regular-season finale. This result placed the Warriors in the 10th position in the Western Conference standings.

“We have a strong bond within this team, great chemistry, and everyone is rooting for each other. So, I’m optimistic about what lies ahead,” Kerr expressed. “I believe we still have the opportunity to achieve something remarkable. It’s akin to the NCAA Tournament, where we need to advance past the initial stages, win the first two games, and reach the first round. We have a chance, and we’re excited about it.”

With the Los Angeles Lakers triumphing over the New Orleans Pelicans and the Sacramento Kings defeating the Portland Trail Blazers, the Warriors are set to face the Kings in Sacramento on Tuesday as the 10th seed in the Play-In Tournament. Last year, the Warriors had a memorable playoff series against their Northern California rivals, clinching victory in a thrilling first-round matchup, notably with Stephen Curry’s standout performance of 50 points in the decisive Game 7.

“It’s going to be one of those games where we have to give it our all,” Wiggins commented. “It’s do or die, with no room for mistakes.”
