Stephen Curry discusses the prospects of his children’s future: Is there a possibility that any of them will pursue a career in basketball, following in his footsteps?

In the world of sport, many children have followed in their parents’ footsteps. And basketball is no exception. There are quite a few sons and daughters of former players who have made it to the NBA and WNBA.

Additionally, there’s the weight of enduring constant comparisons to their parents, particularly if their parents were sports stars themselves. In a notable recent example, LeBron James’ sons, Bronny and Bryce James, appear to be handling this pressure admirably.

“I have two girls, 11 and 8, and a younger son who’s five. My oldest is a volleyball player, she’s taken after grandma and some of the women in my life who play volleyball,” he said on LIVE with Kelly and Mark.

“Middle daughter, the dancer. She’s kind of the artist of the family so I’m over two on that one already. And the five-year-old, we’ll see what he wants to be. He’s kind of the athlete but I don’t know if basketball, golf, baseball, whatever it is.”

Nonetheless, Canon Curry has at least 14 years to go before he becomes eligible for the NBA draft, making it a considerable wait to determine if he possesses the skills to emulate his father. Given that both Steph and his brother Seth pursued basketball careers following in the footsteps of their father, former player Dell Curry, there’s a possibility that Canon Curry might continue this familial legacy in the NBA in around 18 years, perpetuating the family tradition.
