The couple also announced their newborn’s distinctive name in a shared Instagram post on Sunday, May 26.
Ayesha Curry and Stephen “Steph” Curry have officially expanded their family to six members! The couple announced the arrival of their fourth child, a son named Caius Chai, through a joint Instagram post on Sunday, May 26. They revealed that their son was born prematurely on May 11.
“Our little one decided to join us a bit earlier than expected! He’s doing wonderfully, and we’re now settling in at home as a family of six. Feeling incredibly grateful!” Steph, 36, wrote alongside a black-and-white photo showing someone holding the newborn’s tiny hand.
“Caius Chai 5/11/24” concluded the NBA star’s caption.
It seems that Ayesha, aged 35, had prearranged professional content for her Instagram account. However, she shared a spontaneous photo of herself and her daughter Ryan from a hiking trip on May 8, shortly before Caius was born.
“Enjoying hikes with my Chookas 🥰. My little nature enthusiast. 🍃🌿,” she captioned a series of pictures capturing moments from their mother-daughter adventure in nature.
The Sweet July founder announced that she was pregnant on the cover of her magazine in March.
In their announcement, the chef expressed that she and her athlete spouse believed their family was whole until they both experienced a sense of “someone missing” from the Curry household.
Caius is now part of a sibling group that includes older sisters Riley Elizabeth, aged 11, and Ryan Carson, aged 8, as well as older brother Canon W. Jack, aged 5.
Ayesha mentioned in her essay that it was enjoyable to observe her children’s reactions to her fourth pregnancy.
“Getting to experience this through [Canon’s] eyes and through Ryan and Riley’s eyes has been so cool,” she shared. “Their perspectives are so different, and it’s been the most exciting thing.”
Steph also recently told the Associated Press that he and Ayesha tried to plan their newest child’s birth around the NBA star’s Paris Olympics debut.
